About Us

WAM Rods was started just like so many other good ideas… while sitting around at a car show.

While discussing how we were repeatedly asked by other truck guys about the hood strut kits we were running on our own trucks, we decided we needed to make the kits available to the public. So, we set out to make quality hood strut kits for GM trucks & SUV’s.

One of the first things we agreed on was we had to our make instructions for our kits clean, clear & precise. We’d seen too many products with instructions that left you guessing or assuming the next step of the install due to poor pictures or lack of info. So, we vowed to not have that issue with any WAM Rods products.

Since the beginning we’ve upgraded our hardware, our brackets, and anything else we could to continue to make our kits better. We’ve also expanded our product line to more GM trucks & SUV’s.

We are a small business based out of Tulsa, Oklahoma that is ran by a couple of GM Truck guys & show-goers just like our customers.
